Love song for the Lord

　　Today, I went to a church with my host mother. My host family is Christian and they go to church every Sunday. But today, they had some plans, so only I and host mother went.
　　The church was very different from my used imagine. I've thought church has stained glass, organ, many long benches...and so on. But it looks like just town hall. There is no cross, no rings. In the church, there were more than 100 people.
　　When I came into the church, they were just singing. I listened to the songs - those are hymn for the lord, Jesus Christ. It sounds like love song.

　　　After coming back to home, we had a BBQ party with the other host family. There are two students who from Korea and Japan. While we waiting foods, my host brothers and heir host brothers started playing baseball. There was still snow. but they didn't care.

今日はホストマザーと一緒に教会へ行ってきました。人生で初体験です。ホストファミリーはクリスチャンで、毎週日曜日には教会へ行っているらしいです。今日は、ファザーとブラザーたちは用事があるということで、私とマザーの2人だけです。
教会は、私の想像とは大きくかけ離れていました。なんていうか、私の想像って、ステンドグラスにオルガン、長い木の椅子がずらーっていう。すっごいこてこ ての西洋趣味なんだね。でも、実際はごく普通の集会所みたいなかんじ。外観からは教会だって言うことが分かりにくいんです。十字架も鐘もなし。でも、中に は100人以上の人。私たちが教会に入ったときには、ちょうど歌っていました。この賛美歌もまた想像とは違うんです。バックバンド、リードボーカル &コーラスつき。アカペラでも何でもない。驚いたけど、歌はとても綺麗でした。歌詞も素敵です。本当、賛美歌ってキリストに対するラブソングなん だなぁ。

家に帰ってから、ホストブラザーとスクービー・ドゥを観て、それからもう一家族のホストファミリーとBBQパーティーをしました。そこの家族には韓国人と 日本人留学生が一人ずつ。カナダでは韓国のことをSouth koreaと呼んでいて、なんだか文化の違いを感じました。

お肉が焼きあがるのを待っている間に、ホストブラザー達は野球を始めました。庭には雪がまだ残っているって言うのに、ずべったり走ったりお構いなし。さすが、子供は風の子。
